THE DAILY DEAL
The WSOP Circuit at Horseshoe Bossier City has now reached the midway point. Six of 12 events remain to be contested.
Monday was a poker hangover for what was a hugely successful weekend. There were 241 players for the noon start of Event 6. Three of the six events held so far have seen an increase in attendance over the previous year, including the record-setting re-entry tournament (Event 4), which stands at the largest poker tournament ever held in this area.
Tuesday includes the start of one event and the end of another.
The $365 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em tournament (Event 7) begins at noon. Players will start with 10,000 in chips. Registration for Event 7 remains open through the first four levels, which should be sometime after 2 pm. Dinner break is expected to hit at about 6:45 pm.
Event 6 will play to a conclusion. The restart commences at 3 pm. At the moment, Shreveport’s very own Bryan Chaler enjoys a healthy chip lead among the 12 players who will return for the second day’s action.
A $250 buy-in H.O.R.S.E. tournament will begin at 5 pm. However, this is a non-gold ring event.
